Christopher Drake is the author of Earth Awakens, a post-apocalyptic fantasy series about the return of magic, the fae courts, and the people who refuse to let the world end quietly.
Earth itself is waking up. Gaia, the living world, slept for eons — and as she stirs, magic is rising with her. Guns jam, engines die, and everything built on modern explosives and nuclear fire is failing. In Ohio, retired soldier turned tech billionaire Killian Frost sees what is coming before almost anyone else. He builds a modern castle — Frost's Folly — as a refuge for the people he loves.
Then a mysterious doctor offers him a cure for the illness that is killing him. The price transforms him into something no longer human: a Fae male, and in time the Winter King. Around his stronghold gathers a found family of the changed and the gifted — werewolf, berserker, Earthen, and the last Fae who never left Earth — while the courts of the fae return to a world that forgot them.
Earth Awakens is a series about the end of the world, and about family — the kind you are born to, and the kind you build in the ashes.
